going on a bear hunt

come on, we are going on a bear hunt.
look! a hill! we can't get round it. we can't get through it. gonna climb over it.

i love a good theme-and nathan provided a great one for this photo shoot. we looked for hills, trees, grass, and a cave. it was perfect.

weekend favorites

just wanted to share a picture from each of the photo shoots this weekend. loved each and every one of these families. it was such a pleasure to spend time with people who can have fun with one another and care about each other so harmoniously. more pictures from each shoot to come soon :)

rosalee's nature adventure

this girl was enthralled by the grass, flowers, hedge apples, and the sounds of the birds. i love when kids are fascinated with nature and it was a joy to watch her discover and explore. i had the opportunity to photograph her on the day she was born-so watching her grow and and watching her parents help her grow is a grand adventure for me :)

it was such a pleasure to photograph this beautiful couple. they were the best sports, driving all around chasing the light and relaxing into one another in a way that made capturing their love effortless. 

the lollipop kids

these pictures make me very happy. the joy of sun and balloons and a sweet, beautiful lollipop is just more than i can take. plus, i love this family to pieces! can't wait to put together the slideshow :)

rock chalk sweetness

i photographed this gorgeous red-headed girl last year at potter's lake-so it was fitting that this year her whole family joined her for a photo shoot around campus. i love their ku spirit, but my favorite thing was watching how much everyone adores her. rock chalk sweet hadley!
