the nine

photo shoots are not an easy thing to pull off-i understand the stress that goes into scheduling, coercing, dressing, weather, location and on and on-

but after it is done-you can look back with (hopefully) fondness of the time that was spent on a beautiful evening all together.  

these nine were quite amazing-making each other laugh, holding hands, and generally cooperating with all my silly ideas :)

penny for a smile

this was such a wonderful occasion for celebration-a graduation, a family all together and a beautiful evening at loose park. we were grateful for the simple pleasure of tossing pennies into the fountain and climbing trees :)

beware of bears

rosalee is a wonderful big sister.  during this session she had a entire play scheme about a big bear that was loose in the house. it was stinky and needed a bath, it was going to eat us, we needed to hide all our toys so the bear wouldn't break them, we needed to tie up violet to protect her...and on and on. it was wonderful to watch that imagination fly-especially how much it contrasts with a soft and sleepy little one. this is what life is right now-bears and snuggles :)

extraordinary day

this was a very rich session. rich in emotion, expression, color and activity. real day sessions are a favorite of mine-and i enjoyed every interaction of this family. there are so many more-slideshow to come soon...
