usually in january i am scrambling to come up with ideas for cool indoor locations because kids have birthdays in january. i am one of them. and we don't often get to celebrate these occasions with the outdoors, unless it is a sledding party. sometimes things surprise you-like a january 7th day that is almost 50 degrees. i was hoping for more sun-but the grayness of the sky makes for a beautiful wintry feel. i had a great time getting to know this family-they have a wonderful appreciation for nature and love this beautiful 2 year old with abandon.
