the family picture
the family picture is always an adventure. an adventure that may include crying and scowls and stress. but, if i've learned anything in the realms of family and pictures- it is ALWAYS worth it. it is hard to get everyone together. it is hard to coordinate everyone, it is another item on a to do list that is very full this time of year. but, watching this slideshow reaffirms my belief in the magic of documenting family.

christmas at home
the magic of christmas is seen more clearly through the eyes of children. i love watching the amazement over a string of lights or a little elf on a shelf :) i had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with this very joyful family. it was cold outside, but we had fun playing in the warmth and light of their christmas tree.
