the runaway bunny

the runaway bunny is one of my favorite books. i had it when i was little and now i read it to my kids. it is the story of a little bunny who wants to run away from his mother to go on all sorts of adventures. the mother is a wise one-who incorporates herself into the adventure so that bunny is never really alone. at the end the little bunny says 'well shucks, i might just as well stay here and be your little bunny'. so the meaning of all this is...this shoot reminded me of the story. sophie loves adventure-but her mother is always right behind her incorporating herself seamlessly and beautifully into the moment. i am so grateful to bethanie for allowing me to capture so many of their adventures. see more here and here.
